The Last of Us Star Bella Ramsey Reveals Question She’s ‘Sick’ Of Being Asked: ‘Got Nothing To Say…’

In most cases, actors can expect to be asked a frequent question during promotional tours for their projects. This is no exception for Bella Ramsey from The Last of Us, who recently shared her frustration over continually receiving the same inquiry.

As I shared with iHeart Radio, one question that consistently comes my way during this three-week press tour is about the transition of my character Ellie from season 1 to season 2. Since Ellie was 14 in the first season and is now 19, there’s a five-year age gap. The curiosity lies in how I prepared myself to portray an older version of Ellie in season 2.

Ramsey shared with the media that her relationship with Ellie has matured significantly, implying no recent news or developments to report. She further stated that she has no comments to share regarding the matter.

In simpler terms, the actress from the HBO series casually mentioned that she expected to be asked that particular question almost every day for the upcoming weeks. She added, “I don’t mean to offend anyone asking this question, but I must admit, I’m growing a bit tired of answering it.

To help address the query appropriately, the actress spent several months preparing before the latest season began, learning jiu-jitsu, boxing, and weightlifting as mentioned in an article from The Hollywood Reporter.

The anticipation among viewers to watch Ramsey and Pedro Pascal together on screen once more following the initial season’s release in 2023 was noticeably heightened.

For those not in the know, the newest season kicked off on April 13th, 2025. New episodes will be aired each Sunday up until May 25th, 2025.

In addition to Ramsey and Pascal, this venture features Isabela Merced, Gabriel Luna, Ariela Barer, Rutina Wesley, and a host of other talented actors.

The audience can catch The Last of Us seasons 1 and 2 on MAX.
