In the upcoming game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, there’s a variety of weapons available, both melee and ranged. The primary character, Henry, often encounters difficulties while traversing Bohemia, so carrying a weapon is a wise decision. Bows and Crossbows allow players to inflict damage from afar, but they are ineffective without ammunition like arrows.
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, if you opt for the Bow, know that Black Arrows are your best bet for maximum damage. Yet, they’re elusive and can only be found in a particular region. This guide will walk you through locating these rare Black Arrows and teaching you how to craft them in our game.
Where to Get Black Arrows in KCD2
In the game KCD2, it’s undeniable that Black Arrows stand out as top-tier arrow types. They possess the unique ability to take down targets with a single shot, making them highly valuable for those who prefer ranged combat. Unlike other arrows that can be purchased from Blacksmiths, Traders, and Carpenters, tracking down Black Arrows can prove challenging due to their scarcity.
Black Arrows can be spotted at the Kuttenberg shooting range, located southwest of Pschitoky. There, nestled under some weather-beaten trees and surrounded by faded target boards, you’ll encounter a man known as Lefty. Lefty, in his unique manner, will share with Henry details about a special arrow he’s been using, an arrow adorned with a raven feather. If the necessary materials are provided, he is willing to craft more of these distinctive arrows.
Players require feathers from Raven or Rook nests to craft Black Arrows. You can find these feathers in nests, which will appear on your map once discovered. To collect the feathers, knock down the nest with a stone or an arrow. It may be challenging at times, but luckily, there are some Black Arrows close by that Henry can gather.
At Lefty’s shooting zone, you’ll find several Black Arrows lodged in the targets. Go ahead, help yourself! Lefty doesn’t care if others pick up the arrows, so feel free to take them all. When fighting enemies, retrieve the used arrows; loot them from their remains post-battle to remove them. Similar rule applies when hunting animals: skin them after death, and you’ll find the arrows inside.

If players need more, they can bring him some feathers, and he’ll make them.
Tips for Shooting Bows and Crossbows in KCD2

Characters can acquire skill sets for handling weapons more effectively and executing potent strikes. Initially, ranged weapons might prove challenging for beginners, but through practice and additional learning materials, Bows and Crossbows ultimately become formidable tools.
Using a Bow or Crossbow requires a lot of energy. To make it easier, players might want to boost their Marksmanship skill and watch Henry tremble less.
Users of PC games have the option to employ a cheat that keeps their aiming crosshair or reticle constantly visible, which enhances their precision while firing.
Players can increase Marksmanship by doing the following:
- Shooting bandits
- Hunting animals
- Visiting Shooting ranges
- Reading Skill books
To momentarily enhance his marksmanship skills, Henry has the option of consuming a Bowman’s Brew potion. The formula for this potion can be obtained from Barnaby, the trader, who is located near Trosky. It’s worth noting that marksmanship applies not only to bows but also to firearms, which can be quite challenging to use effectively during combat.
Similar to other abilities in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Marksmanship offers perks that enhance Henry’s capabilities when wielding long-range weapons, providing him with bonuses.
Best Perks for Marksmanship
Perk (Category) | Description |
---|---|
Steady Aim (Marksmanship) | If you don’t move for two or more seconds while aiming, your stamina will drain 20% slower, and your shot will be 15% stronger. |
Salvo (Marksmanship) | After each shot, you get a short-term buff during which you reload and aim faster. So you can also shoot faster, and if you do it in time, you’ll regain the buff with each shot. |
Crippling Shot (Marksmanship) | If you deal damage to an enemy with a ranged weapon, their stamina will recover more slowly, and their combat ability will be reduced. |
Forbidden Weapon (Marksmanship) | If you inflict a bleeding wound on an opponent with a crossbow bolt, bleeding will be faster and stronger, so they will weaken or die sooner. |
One Shot at Glory (Marksmanship) | If you kill an enemy with a ranged weapon, your next shot will deal 50 % more damage. |
