A behind-the-scenes video for “Jurassic World Rebirth” has been unveiled by Universal Pictures, showcasing actors like Jonathan Bailey, David Koepp (screenwriter), Scarlett Johansson, Gareth Edwards (director), Mahershala Ali, and others.

What is Jurassic World Rebirth about?

Five years following the Jurassic World Dominion incident, Earth’s ecosystem has largely become unsuitable for dinosaurs. The ones surviving inhabit isolated equatorial regions boasting climates similar to their ancient habitats. Among these tropical environments, three titanic creatures – one on land, another in the seas, and a third in the skies – carry within them DNA vital for a groundbreaking drug offering extraordinary life-saving advantages to mankind.

Who stars?

Featuring renowned action star Scarlett Johansson alongside Emmy and SAG nominee Jonathan Bailey and two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, this thrilling new installment follows an elite rescue squad as they venture to the deadliest location on Earth: a remote island research facility that was once home to Jurassic Park. The team must contend with the most dangerous creatures left over from the original inhabitants.

This fresh action-packed adventure, starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey (Emmy and SAG nominee), and Mahershala Ali (two-time Oscar winner), follows an extraction team on a mission to the world’s most perilous site – an island research lab for Jurassic Park. There they encounter the remnants of the deadliest creatures that still roam.

Also starring acclaimed international stars Rupert Friend and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.

Actress Johansson, who was nominated for an Academy Award, portrays Zora Bennett, a highly trained undercover operative hired to head a specialized team on a clandestine mission involving the acquisition of genetic material. However, when Zora’s operation encounters a civilian family whose boat was overturned by marauding prehistoric dinosaurs, they all become stranded on an off-limits island that used to house a secretive Jurassic Park research facility. In this dinosaur-inhabited landscape filled with various species, they uncover a chilling revelation that has been concealed from the world for many years.

Ali is known as Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s most reliable team associate; Jonathan Bailey, a winner of Critics Choice and Olivier Awards (from Wicked and Bridgerton), portrays Dr. Henry Loomis, the paleontologist; Rupert Friend, who has been nominated for an Emmy (Homeland, Obi-Wan Kenobi) takes on the role of Martin Krebs, a representative from Big Pharma; lastly, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, known for The Lincoln Lawyer and Murder on the Orient Express, plays Reuben Delgado, the father of the stranded civilian family.

In this movie, you’ll see Luna Blaise from Manifest, David Iacono from The Summer I Turned Pretty, and Audrina Miranda from Lopez vs. Lopez playing as Reuben’s family. Additionally, Philippine Velge known for her role in Station Eleven, Bechir Sylvain from BMF, and Ed Skrein famous for Deadpool are part of Zora and Krebs’ teams.

The movie titled “Jurassic World Rebirth” is scheduled to hit theaters on July 2, 2025. This action-packed film will be directed by the talented visual artist, Gareth Edwards, who brought us “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” The script was penned by none other than David Koepp, a screenwriter who contributed to the original “Jurassic Park” movie.
