Season 3 of The Wheel of Time has concluded, leaving viewers on tenterhooks with its significant disclosures and unexpected turns. Previous finales had their own dramatic flair, but this latest episode elevates the tension and action to a climactic finish. While Perrin’s storyline reached its resolution in earlier episodes of the season, other characters are now grappling with survival challenges.

In his journey, Mat steps into a different realm by going through a crimson door. Herein, he discovers the dominion of strange beings called the Finn creatures. Among them are the Eelfinn, one of the Finn family’s species, reputed for fulfilling the desires of all creatures they encounter, albeit under specific conditions.

In a flashback featuring Elaida, we find that she once requested the Eelfinn to lower her to the role of Amyrlin Seat. Yet, years earlier, she had been bested by Siuan Sanche, and it is now under duress that she finds herself filling this position.

In a manner somewhat similar, Mat may not initially get exactly what he asked for, but instead could be compelled into it eventually. Eelfinn is both admiring of Mat’s desire and critical of his decision to depart from the realm. Furthermore, Mat nearly pays the ultimate price in order to have his wish granted.

Meanwhile, Nynaeve’s powers became active following her knowledge of the simple collar that Liandrin had discarded. Although Liandrin no longer possessed the item, the Red Ajah uncovered a chant, and Nynaeve was resolute about obtaining the red collar based on this incantation. Liandrin stated ominously, “I intend to eliminate the strongest channeler in a millennium.

Due to Liandrin’s actions, Nynaeve underwent a close brush with death which ultimately enabled her to unleash her powers and navigate through the waters to reach him.

One intriguing moment from The Wheel of Time season 3 finale is when Rand refuses to relinquish the One Power as Egwene requests, consequently pulling her into the chaos of the shifting timeframes.

The Amazon Prime series hasn’t been given another season as of now, but viewers are eager to see how the characters’ stories progress further on.
