How to crack the Woodside Apartments safe in the Silent Hill 2 remake

In the remake of Silent Hill 2, you’ll first have to traverse Woodside Apartments before reaching Rosewater Park. However, your exit is blocked, leading you to a room containing a safe, a cryptic hint, and mysterious wall drawings with numbers that flicker under torchlight.

We conducted tests on two levels of difficulty – standard and challenging. Regardless of where the sketches were placed within the room, the ultimate solution remained consistent.

As I gaze upon the cityscape under the veil of darkness, I ponder the hint: “At the spot where rooftops break through the night’s embrace. Tracks leading left, belonging to no one visible. Yet, has he found his home, I wonder oh so much. Or a river of memories guiding him straight to his own personal torment.

I’ll follow the directions given: “Right, Left, Right.” So, I’ll make a turn to the right, then one to the left, and finally another to the right again. Let’s see if this opens the safe!

Glancing around, you see a drawing labeled as 13 featuring a row of houses, a house with footprints bearing the number 7, and three wavy lines representing a river, which are labeled as 11.

So the safe combination is: Right 13, Left 7, Right 11

Note: The game represents safes as authentic ones, so avoid tapping ‘confirm’ for each number. Be mindful not to rotate past any numbers. Instead, turn the dial right to 13, left to 7, then right to 11 and finally press ‘confirm’. Open the safe and collect the Coin (Man) for the Silent Hill 2 remake coin cabinet puzzle, as well as the key to exit the area.
