Although his portrayal of Batman in the Justice League has earned him much praise, fans still yearn for his earlier character, Daredevil, the fearless man he once played. During recent promotional activities for The Accountant 2, Affleck was spotted in an interview with Jon Bernthal, a current member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who plays The Punisher.
Without a shadow of a doubt, these two characters boast an impressive past together, whether they’ve been sworn enemies or mutual confidants. Daredevil and The Punisher make a formidable team. Interestingly enough, Ben Affleck has recently expressed some intriguing ideas on this dynamic duo.
In an appearance on Jake’s Takes, the actors known for their roles in Good Will Hunting and The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), as well as Ben Affleck, discussed various topics. During this conversation, Affleck was posed a question about who would emerge victorious in a hypothetical Daredevil vs. The Punisher battle, should that fight involve Bernthal.
In response to the query, the actor from Gone Girl commented, “Indeed, his portrayal of The Punisher is impressive. I’d advise against crossing paths with him as The Punisher.
In the course of our chat, Ben Affleck openly acknowledged that he, myself, haven’t delved into the Netflix Daredevil series featuring Charlie Cox. Yet, I’ve got to say, I’m head over heels for the character! Here’s to hoping he continues to shine brightly.
In the 21st century, specifically during the 2000s, Ben Affleck stepped into the role of Daredevil, with Jennifer Garner portraying Elektra alongside him. The film later spawned a sequel centered on Elektra’s character, but unfortunately, the popularity of the franchise began to wane.
Currently, Charlie Cox is captivating audiences worldwide by portraying the character Hornhead on screen. In the second season of the Netflix superhero series, Jon Bernthal made his appearance as The Punisher.
