Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Adds Young Thug’s Lawyer Brian Steel to His Defense Team Ahead of Upcoming Trial; All We Know

It appears that Sean “Diddy” Combs, facing charges for sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution, is gearing up for a trial in the near future. He seems to be sparing no effort in assembling an exceptional legal defense team to bolster his prospects of being found not guilty.

Based on a court filing posted by Meghann Cuniff on social media on Tuesday, well-known attorney Brian Steel is asking permission to represent the music tycoon from outside his state.

A lawyer from Georgia, well recognized for representing Young Thug during the YSL RICO trial, has applied to be allowed to work in the Southern District of New York, with the aim of joining Diddy’s legal team for his upcoming trial.

The action takes place as part of continuous adjustments in the rapper’s legal representation. Back in February, lawyer Anthony Ricco submitted a petition to be released from the Diddy case, without providing an explanation for his withdrawal request.

Based on various sources, attorney Mark Geragos, currently working with the Menendez brothers (Erik and Lyle) in their ongoing legal fight for exoneration, is anticipated to make a substantial contribution to the trial proceedings. Meanwhile, as reported by TMZ, rapper Diddy is looking for a Black female lawyer to collaborate on his defense team. However, Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos will remain the primary attorneys handling this case.

In June of last year, Brian Steel, Young Thug’s attorney, made news headlines when he faced a contempt charge and was dramatically arrested on camera for declining to reveal the source of his knowledge about a disputed discussion between Judge Ural Glanville, prosecutors, and a crucial witness. The contempt charge against him was eventually dismissed, and the judge in question was removed from the case entirely.

On Monday, Diddy’s main legal representatives addressed Judge Arun Subramanian and asked for a delay in the trial by at least two additional weeks due to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York not fully disclosing necessary materials to them. A new hearing has been scheduled for Friday.

Meanwhile, Diddy has been in custody in the Metropolitan Detention Center for nearly seven months.
