Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Denies New S*x Crime Charges Against Him; Judge Calls Trial ‘Freight Train Moving’

Sean “Diddy” Combs maintains his innocence on fresh and more serious sexual misconduct allegations. He has refuted the recent accusations of sex trafficking and prostitution-related violations in a federal court in Manhattan.

The updated indictment, sealed on April 4, was submitted with an additional two charges that involve a new victim (Victim 2). This brings the total number of charges against the music tycoon up to five.

The new indictment claims that Combs is accused of intentionally attracting, persuading, sheltering, moving, procuring, acquiring, promoting, managing, frequenting, and soliciting (Victim 2), as well as attempting, assisting, and encouraging, and knowingly or recklessly causing (Victim 2) to perform commercial sex acts. This was allegedly done while knowing or disregarding the fact that these acts were taking place under duress, deceit, or manipulation because Victim 2 was involved in commercial sex against their will.

At Monday’s court hearing, Combs’ legal team might propose rescheduling the trial dates due to concerns regarding the disclosure of evidence. Until April 16th, they can petition for additional time to gather more evidence, which may potentially prolong the trial.

During the court proceedings, as reported by the Associated Press, Judge Arun Subramanian commented, “We’re heading towards the trial like a freight train.

Diddy’s legal representative, Marc Agnifilo, noted that prosecutors failed to acquire all 200,000 emails from a crucial witness, but only those they deemed pertinent. Yet, at present, the court date remains set for May 5th.

Lawyers for Combs proposed that they be permitted to filter potential jurors based on topics like past drug abuse, instances of domestic violence, and personal opinions about explicit sexual content. The prosecution countered this extensive questionnaire, arguing that it should focus solely on essential criteria for selecting jurors.

His legal team maintains there was no use of force or compulsion, and they refute the allegations presented in the updated indictment. For now, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs remains detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn while the investigation carries on. A pretrial conference is scheduled for April 18, and the case retains a significant level of public attention. The original September 2024 indictment, which encompassed racketeering charges, has not been amended in the recent filing.
