In the second episode of SHOSHIMIN titled ‘A Warm Winter (Part 2)’, the story opens with Kobato standing by a blazing van, sensing a potential cover-up in the recent fire incidents and reaching out to Dojima. Meanwhile, at school, Takahiko expresses his concerns about Osanai’s true feelings, which only seems to complicate matters further during their weekend encounter.
When students crowd around him due to his correct predictions about fires, Dojima steps in and takes him to the student council office where a representative from the newspaper interrogates him. Dojima encourages him to wrap up the coverage with a definitive article. At the same time, Kobato unintentionally ruins his date with Tokiko, mirroring Osanai’s struggles with Takahiko.
In SHOSHIMIN Season 2 Episode 3, we could delve into the consequences of Kobato and Osanai’s growing emotional disconnect in their relationship. Although it seems improbable for them to rekindle their romance, there’s a chance they might reconcile their detective teamwork instead.
