One character from The White Lotus, Chelsea, was portrayed by comedian Sarah Sherman, who sported unusually large teeth.

31-year-old Wood voiced her disapproval of the satire through a sequence of Instagram posts. She expressed her dissatisfaction over how her character was portrayed. She stated that although she usually appreciates the series, this particular episode appeared cruel and humorless to her.
