Sophie Turner is all set to reappear on our screens as Lara Croft in an upcoming streaming version of the 2001 movie Tomb Raider, previously played by Angelina Jolie. To nail the role and outshine the original portrayal, Turner has been undergoing rigorous training and combat rehearsals for the screen.

According to insiders familiar with the matter, the actress has shared that she’s portrayed on-screen battles in both Game of Thrones and X-Men films.

A source with inside knowledge shared with media outlets that “Sophie is putting significant effort into her training for this film, as she’s already well-versed in screen fights, stunts, complex costumes, and special effects, having built up extensive experience through her time in the universes of Game of Thrones and X-Men.

Additionally, it was mentioned that she is not only improving her fitness but also refining all her relevant skills for this position.

In the meantime, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, known for her role in Fleabag, is praising the upcoming Lara Croft: Tomb Raider series. Not only is she a producer, but she’s also writing the script for this upcoming production.

The initial Lara Croft movie ultimately proved to be a massive success with both viewers and critics. At the time of its premiere, Angelina Jolie enthusiastically commented that working on the Tomb Raider set was an exhilarating adventure, filled with thrilling action scenes.
