It seems like Finn Wolfhard is experiencing a mix of emotions regarding how his character, Mike Wheeler, concludes in Stranger Things. He shared his thoughts on this topic during an interview with People magazine.
Wolfhard expressed to the media outlet that he felt “extremely content with how things ended, yet I was simultaneously fulfilled, bewildered, melancholic, and joyful.” Additionally, he mentioned that wrapping up the final season of the series was “certainly intense.
The actor remarked that it seemed as though he was in an “unreal state,” stating that the experience didn’t seem “genuine.” He further explained, “I can’t quite put my finger on it, but everything just felt right.
During his thoughts on the feelings Wolfhard had while filming the last scene for the final season, he admitted that he couldn’t “take it in at all.” The actor also mentioned that he didn’t fully process it until the following day. It felt like an emotional aftereffect, similar to a hangover.
Wolfhard expressed his satisfaction with how everything wrapped up, stating only positive comments regarding each cast member individually. Furthermore, he disclosed that they spent their last day together as a group, and found it genuinely enjoyable to be in the company of everyone else.
Reflecting on a Remarkable Summer, the star looked back at how his life took an unexpected turn following the swift popularity of the cherished series. In an interview, he shared that he hadn’t anticipated returning to redo anything.
Wolfhard mentioned that if given a chance, he’d consider going back to when the series first debuted and gained popularity. Instead of just enjoying the success, he would have sought out professional help or therapy right away because things moved so rapidly and left little room for reflection.
As each new season aired, the program’s viewership continued to grow in popularity. From their first appearance on screen, the actors quickly gained widespread acclaim, earning them an enduring status as beloved performers amongst their audience.
In addition to Wolfhard, the series features Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, and numerous other talented actors.
According to the latest news, it’s anticipated that Stranger Things Season 5 will premiere on Netflix around 2025. In the interim, fans are encouraged to enjoy watching the earlier seasons again.
