Eric Dane Receives Support from Euphoria Co-Star Colman Domingo Amid ALS Diagnosis Ahead of Season 3 Filming

It appears that the cast of Euphoria aren’t shy about expressing their solidarity in public. Recently, Eric Dane stunned everyone when he announced his Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis to People magazine, and now, his fellow actor from the cherished HBO series, Colman Domingo, has offered him encouragement.

On April 11, which was a Friday, at the Emmy Luncheon, Domingo informed the mentioned media outlet that he had not had a chance to talk with Dane as of yet, and he had only learned about it the previous day.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but express my heartfelt wishes for the actor from The Madness. I eagerly anticipate the chance to work alongside him someday. The news of his diagnosis on April 10th left me deeply saddened, but I was touched by his gratitude for having his loving family by his side as they embark on this new journey together.

For those unfamiliar, as per Mayo Clinic, ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a condition that affects the nervous system, specifically impacting cells in the brain and spinal cord. This leads to a gradual loss of muscle control, with the condition worsening over time. Unfortunately, at present, there is no cure for this disease.

Regarding the upcoming projects for the actor from The Last Ship, he shared with People magazine that he will be part of Euphoria’s third season.

Dan, who portrays Cal Jacobs on the popular series, shared, “I’m grateful to keep working and can’t wait to get back to set on Euphoria next week.” He also requested “seclusion” during these days for him and his loved ones.
