The White Lotus: Carrie Coon Admits She ‘Tried to Forget’ Her Cast’s Plotlines; Reveals ‘Couldn’t Remember if Lochlan Died’

In its third season, The White Lotus provided plenty of entertainment for viewers. Just like previous seasons, an array of characters added their antics to the notorious hotel this time set in Thailand. Carrie Coon’s character, humorously dubbed the Blonde Blob, experienced a rollercoaster of events, ranging from gossiping about her friend to delivering the standout monologue, all while fleeing from an unexpected shootout that took an unexpected turn.

Regarding her fellow characters’ storylines, Coon admitted that she didn’t recall many details intentionally, preferring instead to focus on enjoying the show and appreciating her friends’ performances. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she stated, “I deliberately chose not to hold onto the other narratives tightly so I could fully immerse myself in the series and their work. She’s now fully up-to-date with the series and has some particularly kind comments for her colleagues, particularly Patrick Schwarzenegger. Regarding his character, Saxon, she praised the “shift in perspective” as “beautiful.” Furthermore, she often emphasizes that this isn’t a true representation of Patrick; instead, he’s a more profound individual than his on-screen persona suggests.

She further disclosed that she regretted the absence of Piper’s narrative arc, in which her character forms a relationship with Zion. Coon also backed up Jason Isaacs’ character (Tim), justifying why she believed omitting the “conflict” scene where they discover they are economically disadvantaged was the appropriate choice.

Coon shared, “When I realized that Timothy’s experience was a spiritual voyage all along, it made everything else seem worthwhile.
