Date A Live Returns: What Surprises Await Fans in the New Anime Project?

The entertaining Date A Live light novel collection, penned by Kōshi Tachibana and beautifully illustrated by Tsunako, was released between 2011 and 2020. It contains a grand total of 22 published books in its series.

The hit anime show continued, taking short pauses, between the years 2013 and 2024. In that time, a grand total of 58 episodes were created, which included not one but two special OVA episodes. Additionally, various spin-off projects have been developed based on this series.

Although the science-fiction and fantasy harem series didn’t gain widespread popularity, it did earn a dedicated fanbase who adored it deeply. Excitingly, we are delighted to announce that they will be receiving additional content soon.

In a straightforward manner and with an apology for any letdown, I must clarify that as of now, we don’t possess detailed information to share. Kadokawa has confirmed the creation of a new anime, but beyond the released teaser image, we have yet to receive more details.

The image hints at a fresh undertaking, but its nature remains undisclosed. It might be an anime series, a standalone anime film, or possibly an OVA series; however, the chances of it being an OVA are minimal. Additionally, Kadokawa has unveiled an anniversary visual for the anime, depicting the characters in summer outfits.
