‘My Happy Marriage’ Announces New Anime Project Following Second Season, Teaser Released

Back in 2019, Akumi Agitogi initiated the captivating “My Happy Marriage” light novel series. Since its debut, it has soared in popularity, becoming one of the most beloved romance tales of our current era. At present, a total of nine volumes have been published.

The original series has been transformed into a comic book version (manga) and an animated TV show (anime). The anime made its debut on July 5, 2023, and a live-action movie was also launched in the same year. Regrettably, there were some setbacks, but the anime’s second season concluded on April 9, 2025.

As a devoted fan of “My Happy Marriage,” I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! Following the completion of its two seasons with 26 heartwarming episodes, the creators have officially greenlit a new venture. Stay tuned for more enchanting tales from this beloved series!

The brief preview hints at an upcoming anime venture, and as of now, details about its nature – whether it’s a new season, an OVA, or possibly a movie – remain undisclosed. At present, the specifics are still unknown; however, we can confirm that additional anime material is on its way.

The anime thus far showcases the vocal skills of Reina Ueda playing Miyo Saimori, Kaito Ishikawa portraying Kiyoka Kudo, Ayane Sakura as Kaya Saimori, Kōtarō Nishiyama in the role of Kōji Tatsuishi, Houko Kuwashima voicing Yurie, Hiro Shimono for Yoshito Godō, Ryōhei Kimura as Arata Tsuruki, Yōko Hikasa acting as Hazuki Kudo, Ryōtarō Okiayu for Tadakiyo Kudo, Kikuko Inoue for Fuyu Kudo, and Yūya Uchida for Naoshi Usui.

Although the light novel series continues, we’ll need to be patient for some time longer before receiving updates about the forthcoming animation adaptation.
