A Couple of Cuckoos S2: New Trailer & July Premiere!

The romantic comedy manga “A Couple of Cuckoos,” penned by Miki Yoshikawa, first appeared in 2020 and continues to unfold, boasting 26 published volumes at the time of writing. Its unique blend of quirky humor and harem elements has resonated strongly with readers, contributing to its popularity.

2022 saw the debut of an anime adaptation, spanning over 24 episodes in its first season. Although news about a subsequent season had been announced previously, there was a considerable delay before it moved into production.

At last, the long wait will be over towards the end of this year! The creators behind the anime have unveiled a fresh trailer that sheds light on significant aspects of the upcoming second season, such as its anticipated release period.

Before we continue, here is the trailer:

The main point to gather from the trailer is that the second season will start airing in July 2025 on a Sunday, even though the specific date hasn’t been disclosed yet. Moreover, we can verify that the band 22/7 will be singing the ending theme song for this new season titled “Anata de Nakucha” (It Has to be You).

For the upcoming second season, we have a fresh team on board. Masakazu Hishida takes over the director’s role at Studio Okuru to Noboru, while Kyoko Chika handles the character design, and Jou Aoba is responsible for scriptwriting duties.

As an enthusiastic admirer, let me share that I am thrilled to learn that Rei Ishizuka is rejoining us at IMAGINE as the music composer once more. It’s wonderful to know that his talents will be enchanting our ears again!

Contrarily, all the cast members are coming back for the next season. This means you’ll hear familiar voices from the first season, along with a new voice – Hina Yomiya, who will be playing Ai Mochizuki.

As said, the second season is premiering in July 2025. Stay tuned for more updates!
