Ramsey suggested that she’s somewhat similar to Joel, yet with an added edge, but fundamentally, she remains the same individual, retaining her original wit and humor.
In their second season, a disagreement emerges between Ellie (Ramsey) and Joel (Pedro Pascal), as they adapt to life within the fortified city of Jackson, Wyoming. The trailer suggests tension, with Ellie shouting at Joel, “You promised,” she exclaimed, indicating the trials ahead for the pair during the upcoming season.
In their interview, Ramsey conveyed that Ellie is still grappling with the falsehood Joel revealed at the finale of season one, stating this could significantly impact their connection. “I believe this factor greatly influences the change in their relationship,” the actor explained further. Yet, they also expressed remorse for being distant towards Pascal’s character.
The actor hinted that season 2 is likely to be more sorrowful than season 1, and the mood will grow increasingly somber and chilly as the series unfolds. Additionally, the cast and crew of The Last of Us were pleasantly surprised by the overwhelmingly positive response to the premiere season.
