Star Wars: Ventress and Bane Return in Epic Tales of the Underworld!

In the upcoming animated series “Tales of the Underworld,” airing on Disney+ starting May 4, 2025, Star Wars introduces once more two beloved bounty hunters: Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane.

Ventress and Bane Return

The latest installment in the series, titled “Tales“, is a continuation from both “Tales of the Jedi” and “Tales of the Empire“. This time, it delves into the lives of characters who navigate the outer reaches of the galaxy. In this new offering, “Tales of the Underworld“, we revisit Ventress and Bane post-Clone Wars and the emergence of the Empire, with six compelling episodes.

In a new turn of events, Ventress, once an assassin for the Sith, is given another opportunity at life. She appears in the trailer, shrouded and brandishing her iconic yellow lightsaber, engaging in a fight with a foe wielding a red-hued blade, all while aiding a Padawan to survive after Order 66. Meanwhile, Cad Bane, ever the cool and strategic gunfighter, finds himself in a conflict against an old associate who has taken up the role of a marshal.

A Look at the Trailer and Poster

The sneak peek promises lots of thrilling moments and suspense. Ventress can be seen hiding, yet not escaping her pursuers, while Bane finds himself once more locked in a blaster fight with steelpeckers hovering overhead – a hint at his confrontation in The Book of Boba Fett. Take a look below.

On the new poster, we see a variety of characters, including Latts Razzi making his comeback from “The Clone Wars” TV show. The design adheres to the aesthetic style of the prior anthologies, with the credit symbol being prominently featured this time around, as opposed to the Jedi and Imperial symbols that were previously dominant.

Cast and Crew

In this production, Nika Futterman and Corey Burton return to their characters Ventress and Bane. The talented voice actors Artt Butler, Lane Factor, AJ LoCascio, Clare Grant, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, and Eric Lopez are also part of the cast.

In this production, Dave Filoni serves multiple key roles: he’s the one who initiated the series, acts as the lead director, and takes on the responsibilities of an executive producer. Athena Yvette Portillo and Carrie Beck are also executive producers. Josh Rimes holds a co-executive producer position, while Alex Spotswood serves as senior producer and Matt Michnovetz handles the writing duties.
