The promotional trailer for season three of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, produced by Paramount+, has been unveiled and will air this summer. The clip suggests the reappearance of Captain Pike and his U.S.S. Enterprise team, while hinting at fresh escapades that challenge the show’s boundaries. Filming for a fifth season is currently in progress in Toronto.
Season 3 Picks Up After the Gorn Cliffhanger
In the third season, we reunite with the crew aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise, led by Captain Pike, as they resolve the dramatic cliffhanger from the previous season involving the Gorn. However, fresh experiences and societies lie ahead, introducing a villain that will challenge the courage and determination of our characters. This innovative version of Star Trek, season three, explores both established and new characters, embarking on exhilarating journeys encompassing themes such as faith, duty, love, humor, mystery, and more, within genres yet unexplored in any prior Star Trek series.
Familiar Faces and Notable Guest Stars
In this new season, we’ve got our leading actors back: Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, and Martin Quinn portray Montgomery ‘Scotty’ Scott. Notable guest stars include Rhys Darby, Patton Oswalt, Cillian O’Sullivan, Melanie Scrofano as Marie Batel, Carol Kane as Pelia. Paul Wesley joins us for a special appearance as James T. Kirk.
