Tom Lee, the co-founder of Fundstrat, has thrown his hat into the ring with a prediction that’s got Wall Street buzzing like a hive of confused bees. 🐝 He’s calling for a stock market reversal, and he’s got a few reasons why he thinks the US has the “right pieces” for a bottom. Whether that’s a solid foundation or just a pile of wishful thinking, well, that’s up for debate.

In a recent CNBC interview, Lee didn’t mince words. He said the markets are “really oversold” right now, thanks to a correction that’s got everyone sweating over US tariffs. It’s like watching a game of Jenga where every block is labeled “uncertainty.” But Lee thinks clarity is coming, and it’s got a date: April 2nd. 🗓️

“This week, leading up to April 2nd, investors have three things on their minds,” Lee said, sounding like a man who’s seen too many market cycles to be fazed. “One, they don’t know what the tariffs look like. Two, they don’t know if it’s going to damage the economy. And three, many are just a little terrified of the policies of the White House.” Terrified? Nah, just mildly panicked. 😅

“But post-Wednesday, I think markets are going to have some visibility,” he continued, sounding almost optimistic. “That allows us to take some of the selling pressure off. So yes, I think it’s possible that instead of us breaking down here and seeing markets under further pressure, we actually got the right pieces for a bottom.” A bottom, huh? Lee also pointed to Brexit as an example of how things can turn out okay. “Brexit happened and the UK economy emerged okay. It didn’t have a huge recession and the stock market did okay,” he said, conveniently ignoring the fact that “okay” is a relative term. But hey, if the UK can survive Brexit, maybe the US can survive… whatever this is. 🤷‍♂️

“So for investors today, over the weekend, we had so many thinking the economy is going to completely fall off the rails after Wednesday,” Lee added, probably while sipping coffee and wondering why he’s always the one delivering the good news. ☕
