Jada’s problems originate from Rafe being angry about her sleeping with Shawn Brady one night. Despite Jada trying to clarify her actions, Rafe reacted harshly, accusing her of not realizing that Arnold Feniger was a fraud. The situation became more strained when Rafe was also upset that Jada didn’t confess the truth earlier, causing him to demand a separation. Although Jada is optimistic that this split is temporary, she worries that Rafe may never forgive her for this mistake.

Across town, Rafe shares with Gabi about Jada’s revelation and the burden of emotions he’s experiencing. Gabi, mirroring Jada’s earlier point, implies that Rafe is upset not so much with Jada as with the situation and EJ. She might encourage Rafe to rethink his choice and strive to save his relationship.
