One cannot help but wonder at the audacity of this decision, given that the average price per Bitcoin was a staggering $89,000 at the time of their purchase.
This little-known company, which hopes to make a name for itself with its Bitcoin bet, intends to devote a considerable 90% of its surplus cash to purchasing the leading cryptocurrency.
As the maker of thermal management solutions and energy storage systems, one might have expected KULR to focus on more…pedestrian pursuits. Alas, it seems they are determined to join the ranks of the Bitcoin elite.
Following its most recent purchase, KULR’s total holdings are approaching 700 coins. One cannot help but feel that they are attempting to follow in the footsteps of the illustrious business intelligence firm, MicroStrategy.
As we all know, MicroStrategy has become the blueprint for corporate cryptocurrency adoption. And, as if to prove the point, KULR’s penny stock experienced a most…remarkable rally following their December announcement.
Shares of KULR are up by a trifling 2% this Tuesday, following the most recent Bitcoin announcement. Meanwhile, MicroStrategy has already surpassed 500,000 BTC in total holdings, a truly staggering feat. They now hold a whoppng 2.4% of the entire Bitcoin supply.
