In a planned encounter, Marin sets up Ishimori to meet someone matching that description at Kai’s workplace. Overpowered by emotions, Ishimori confesses her fondness for blonde hair and extravagant style. During the sports festival, Ishimori saves Kai from danger. The story concludes with Ishimori collapsing after recognizing her feelings.
In episode 12 of Honey Lemon Soda, Ishimori, partially aware, expresses her love for Kai while in the infirmary. Yet, later on, she finds it tough to confront him directly. With a touch of self-doubt, she shares with Serina that she questions whether she’s worthy of Kai’s affections.
Later on, it’ll be made clear that Kai had already discovered a fresh, clandestine location for their meetings, replacing the one they lost. This knowledge boosts Ishimori’s spirit, prompting her to summon up courage and dial Kai, inviting him to an unused classroom following school hours. Her goal is to articulate her feelings effectively once more in this new setting.
