2022’s film titled The Green Shutters, which is adapted from a 1950 novel by Georges Simenon, features Anouk Grinberg and Fanny Ardant among its cast. However, controversy has arisen around its lead actor, Gérard Depardieu, who is reported to have inappropriately touched the film’s set designer. According to Mediapart, he allegedly trapped her between his legs and groped various parts of her body, including her waist, stomach, and breasts. These actions are described as “violence, coercion, surprise, or threat.

The team members reportedly stepped in to help her, encouraging her to file an official complaint. The film’s director, Jean Becker, was also rumored to back her decision to speak up. However, she is no longer involved in the movie industry – she claimed that she tried to avoid the actor, but he continued to intimidate her with angry glares and muttered insults for the remainder of the production.

Lawyer Carine Durrieu-Diebolt, representing the plaintiff, shared with CNN that their client is anticipating a legal confirmation or official declaration from the judicial system, affirming them as victims of sexual assault.
