Although five episodes from Season 3 of the Amazon Prime’s animated series, Invincible, have been made available, it appears that the show has ceased to be ranked on the Nielsen ratings charts.

Nielsen gathers data on every episode broadcast within a particular week, including shows from past seasons.

What are the ratings?

After Episode 4 of Season 3 clocked in at 475 million minutes on the charts, Episode 5 did not show up, as Netflix’s “Gabby’s Dollhouse” took its place with a total of 496 million minutes. This indicates that during the week Episode 5 was released, viewership fell below this number since “Invincible” didn’t make an appearance in the top rankings.

While keeping a viewership of 475 million doesn’t automatically cause a drop in rankings for Invincible, it still wouldn’t have placed it on the charts due to its unchanged number of minutes watched.

Season 3 feels like filler—Will final episodes boost the ratings?

To put it simply, in my opinion, the third season of “Invincible” has primarily been uneventful and rather dull, except for the last couple of episodes. Frankly, one could easily bypass the entire season and only watch the final two without any loss of continuity, much like what transpired with Robert Kirkman’s “The Walking Dead.

I wonder how the Nielsen ratings will shape up for the remainder of the season. Will it manage to secure a spot on the chart? Might we witness a rise in viewership during the last episodes?

Invincible Season 4 concerns?

Although “Invincible” wasn’t featured on Nielsen’s rating charts last week, there’s no reason for concern as Season 4 is indeed in progress.

I’ve been noticing some aspects that worry me, primarily regarding the animation quality and narrative flow this season, particularly evident in Episode 5. It appears the production of action scenes is taking an extended period, noticeably longer than what was customary in older animated series. This could account for why we’re seeing fewer action sequences overall, with the rest of the episodes seeming to stretch out unnecessarily. Additionally, this might also be the reason behind the less engaging storytelling seen in Seasons 2 and 3 as well.
