THE BOYS Spinoff VOUGHT RISING Announces Two New Cast Members

At San Diego Comic-Con 2024, we received some thrilling updates regarding the future of the universe of “The Boys”. Although the main series is concluding with a fifth and final season, a brand new spinoff series titled “Vought Rising” is on its way. This prequel series will delve into the “The Boys” universe during the 1950s, featuring Soldier Boy and Stormfront. Previously, we only knew that Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash would reprise their superhero roles in the new show. Now, it’s been confirmed that Elizabeth Posey (known for her role in “Euphoria”) and Will Hochman (from “Blue Bloods”) have joined the cast of “Vought Rising“.

Information about the two characters is being kept secret at the moment. They might be depicting early Vought International personnel from the post-WWII era or founding members. It’s also possible that Hochman could have ties to or be related to Frederick Vought, who established Vought International shortly after WWII. Alternatively, they could be superhumans whose actions could complicate matters as Compound V becomes more popular.

Here’s a little more about Vought Rising to bring things into context:

Eric Kripke and Paul Grellong, executive producer of The Boys series, shared that “Vought Rising” will delve into the dark origins of Vought in the 1950s, highlight Soldier Boy’s early adventures, and reveal Stormfront’s (Clara Vought back then) sinister actions. They are excited to captivate you with this tantalizing, gruesome tale steeped in violence and Compound V, promising to disturb your minds and souls.

Currently, no news has been released about when “Vought Rising” will premiere on Prime Video. However, with new cast members joining, it appears to be progressing and getting closer to production. In the interim, we eagerly anticipate more of “Gen V,” which is scheduled to begin its second season some time in 2025.
