COYOTE VS. ACME May Finally Release After Warner Bros. Discovery Cancellation

It’s likely you’ve already heard about this, but back in 2024, Warner Bros. Discovery chose not to release Coyote vs. Acme, a film that had been well-received by audiences. The decision was made for tax reasons, much to the dismay of both fans and creators who felt it contradicted the creative process. After all, why destroy a finished project that hundreds of artists had worked tirelessly on just to save some money? This move sparked public outrage, and Warner Bros. Discovery initially claimed they were trying to sell the film. However, it seemed as though Coyote vs. Acme would remain unseen. But now, there’s speculation that the movie could be released if a deal with Ketchup Entertainment is finalized.

Everyone seems to be eagerly anticipating the completion of this deal, and that excitement extends to fans, the creative team behind the movie, and Warner Bros. Discovery. If Coyote vs. Acome finally makes its way into the public eye, it could provide a sense of healing for many. According to recent reports, Ketchup Entertainment is in talks to acquire all rights to the Coyote vs. Acme movie, with negotiations currently centered around a $50 million price tag. Notably, Ketchup previously saved another film, The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, from remaining unseen.

If you’re not familiar, “Coyote vs. Acme” is an intriguing film blend of live-action and animation featuring Will Forte, John Cena, and Lana Condor. The plot centers around a lawsuit initiated by Wile E. Coyote against the Acme Corporation for years of faulty products that failed to assist him in catching his nemesis, the elusive Road Runner. During this legal battle, he develops a friendship with his lawyer (played by Will Forte), as they stand up against the Acme Company’s lawyers, represented by John Cena. Notably, James Gunn served as one of the movie producers. Interestingly enough, Forte described the film as “incredible.

It remains to be seen if the film titled “Coyote vs. Acme” will hit the big screen. Fingers crossed that it does!
