Gabriel Macht Says Harvey Specter is ‘Utterly Full of Himself’; Wonders WHY Fans Want More After Suits LA Cameo

Gabriel Macht is taken aback by the enthusiasm fans have shown towards his reappearance as Harvey Specter on screens. In the fourth episode of Suits L.A., titled “Batman Returns”, he stepped back into his famous role. Reflecting on the feedback and reviews from viewers, Macht ponders why they desire to see more of his character on screen. Macht played this role for 9 seasons in the original series and later made a guest appearance in the current show.

In a chat with US Weekly, the actor commented, “Harvey is quite straightforward in his speech, and he’s quick-witted.” He also mentioned, “He’s incredibly self-confident, with an ego that could rival a small U.S. state. But deep down, he genuinely has a kind heart.

Discussing his character extensively, the actor remarked that in the early seasons of Suits, Harvey is primarily focused on himself and his own interests. Yet, he has a soft spot for the general public and eventually falls into mistakes from which he learns valuable lessons. This characteristic, which resonates with the audience and makes him endearing, was a key factor in his popularity.

The actor continued to say that, under all the amour, Harvey just wants to do what is right.

Macht continued by saying, “He often acts, occasionally using underhanded tactics, to tackle issues that seem valid at the time. However, there are instances when I find myself questioning, ‘What on earth is he up to?’

Regarding his recent comeback, Specter appeared on screen as a friend of Ted Black, played by Stephen Amell. Most of the scenes featuring Macht were filmed using a retro filming style.

As fans eagerly anticipate more of Harvey Specter on the show, rumors suggest that Rick Hoffman will reappear as Louis Litt in upcoming episodes.
