In honor of National Monorail Day on March 6, Disney Parks posted a four-hour long video of footage from inside the Monorail. The video mimics the POV of sitting and riding around the park. The sights and sounds of the Monorail are included in the video to make it feel as immersive as possible. You can check out the video below.
The description of the video states: “In honor of National Monorail Day on March 6th, climb aboard the Walt Disney World Resort Mark VI Monorail for 4 relaxing hours of the most magical transportation on Earth! Enjoy as many round trip loops as you like, just remember—please stand clear of the doors. Por favor manténgase alejado de las puertas.”
The four-hour loop is relaxing to those who love the sound of the legacy Disney train carrier. Seems like a good video to play in the background while working. People in the comments seemed to enjoy the video a lot. One viewer commented, “I never knew how badly I needed this until now. Thank you Disney. Whoever did this need a raise.”
Some people even asked for more videos like the one above, for example, the Magic Kingdom route. Another commenter wanted the video to be even more realistic saying, “This is exactly the kind of content we want, the sights and sounds of the Disney Parks, with the access only Disney can provide itself. Although, we do want to hear the announcements, and door chimes, it’s all part of the experience!!”
Disney’s YouTube channel has posted many videos focusing on ambient sound with titles mentioning “Walt Disney World Music & Ambience” or “Disney Parks Music & Ambience.” A few of my favorites include the “Space Mountain Soundscape” and “Relaxing Sounds of Nature“. The latter is based on the Journey of Water attraction at Disney World.
