Blake Lively will narrate National Geographic’s upcoming penguin documentary, “Secrets of the Penguins,” during her legal dispute with Justin Baldoni regarding “It Ends With Us.” The docu-series is set to debut on April 20, which is right before Earth Day.
The three-part documentary series from National Geographic offers a close look at the fascinating lives of penguins across the globe, with Oscar-winning filmmaker James Cameron serving as the executive producer.
This documentary chronicles an expansive two-year voyage led by over seventy researchers and support staff. National Geographic Explorer and cinematographer, Bertie Gregory guides us through this adventure, delving into diverse avian habitats, featuring a staggering colony of 20,000 emperor penguins.
The team behind the show ventured to remote locations like the rugged shores of South Georgia Island, the Galapagos Islands, deep caves within Namibia’s deserts, rocky coastlines in Cape Town, and Antarctica’s Ekström Ice Shelf, among others.
The program showcases groundbreaking wildlife instances that have not been captured on film before. Notable scenes encompass emperor penguins mastering their egg-balancing skill using snowballs, among other captivating sights.
The preview provides a peek at an intense and awe-inspiring journey filled with heartfelt moments and stunning visuals. In the footage, Gregory can be seen among emperor penguins, appreciating their friendly demeanor. He comments in the trailer, “Throughout my life, I’ve been trying to approach timid creatures; these penguins are certainly unique.
In a lively tone, Lively’s commentary enhances the beautiful imagery, explaining how penguins embody determination and heartwarming family values. She highlights their ability to learn, work hard, and confront life bravely, all while remembering they are tiny animals.
In the video, the actress from A Simple Favor remarks, “They educate, they labor, they learn the art of parenthood, and they display remarkable courage, considering their small stature.
The enigmas of Penguins unfold on National Geographic starting April 20th at 8 p.m./7 p.m. CST. If you’re eager to consume the entire journey in one go, the three episodes will be accessible for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu from April 21st onwards.
At the moment, Blake Lively is busy promoting her upcoming film titled Another Simple Favor, a black comedy mystery directed by Paul Feig. This film also stars Anna Kendrick, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Elizabeth Perkins, and Michele Morrone, among others. The movie will be released on Amazon Prime Video starting May 1.
