The Housemaid Update: Paul Feige Claims Upcoming Project With Sydney Sweeney Will Be ‘Darker’ Than A Simple Favor

According to Paul Feige, he’s shared details about his forthcoming venture after the release of Another Simple Favor. This upcoming project will see him teaming up with actress Sydney Sweeney for a film called The Housemaid.

At the unveiling of his SXSW follow-up to the 2018 film, the director discussed finishing work on a fresh production and expressed admiration for the Euphoria actress, slated to act with Brandon Sklenar in the same scene.

According to Feige, the post-production phase for the upcoming film is about to start, and he shared that “what we filmed turned out wonderfully.” The film’s storyline will encompass both horror and comedy elements, with the director mentioning that this project promises to be darker than his past productions.

During his conversation with the crowd, Feige shared that they finished filming around two weeks ago, and he’s eagerly anticipating it. He will be in the editing suite on Monday; they plan to release it at Christmas, and so far, from what they filmed, it looks fantastic. They will assemble it and see how well it fits together.

Speaking enthusiastically about the cast of The Housemaid, the director expressed that it was a pleasure working alongside these talented individuals. Furthermore, he mentioned that while he considers films like A Simple Favor to be dark thrillers, his next project will be even more profoundly somber and ominous.

In the film “Another Simple Favor”, Emily Nelson, portrayed by Blake Lively, reappears in the life of Stephanie Smothers with the intention of causing trouble once more.

The second part of the movie is set to premiere on digital platforms on May 1st. You’ll be able to watch it streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
