For the upcoming second season of the horror-comedy show “Wednesday 2,” Lady Gaga and Jenna Ortega will be teaming up. At a recent event on the SXSW red carpet, the enthusiastic young actress shared her eagerness about collaborating with the singer famously known as Bloody Mary.
During a chat with IndieWire, the actress-musician who stars in Beetlejuice (on Netflix) was praised by her co-star as one of the most delightful individuals to collaborate with on set.
In addition to the actress who starred in A Star is Born, viewers can also expect the talent of director Tim Burton as an actor in the upcoming series.
Speaking about her work experience with Lady Gaga, Ortega expressed, “It’s simply outstanding. She’s exceptional; undoubtedly one of the most gifted individuals I’ve ever collaborated with.” She then added, “Being part of that unique, extraordinary atmosphere, working alongside two icons like Gaga and Tim Burton – people who have inspired me tremendously – was a truly memorable experience.
In a subsequent comment, the actor from Fallout revealed that the lead singer of Judas is exceptionally kind and generous towards the cast and crew of the series. Moreover, she expressed surprise at the unpredictable talent the pop star exhibited on set.
The actress also mentioned, “She’s unpredictable yet consistently kind and generous.
Although Lady Gaga’s specific role within the story isn’t defined as of now, her inclusion promises a significant shift in the narrative of the series.
During its premiere, the initial season of the Netflix series resonated strongly with viewers, and Lady Gaga also had a personal affinity for the original run. One of Ortega’s iconic dances from the show was revamped in the musician’s Bloody Mary track, which quickly became a viral sensation on various social media outlets.
In her chat with Entertainment Weekly, the actress playing Joker: Folie a Deux chose not to reveal any details about joining the series. She went on to say, “I’d prefer to maintain some mystery around it – but I adore Jenna, and I truly enjoyed myself during filming!
Wednesday season 2 will release on the streaming platform later this year.
