Liam Payne’s Friend Roger Nores Says Singer’s Death ‘Was Just Bad Luck’ Post Manslaughter Charges Get Dropped

Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores, a longtime friend of the deceased member of One Direction, Liam Payne, has recently voiced his thoughts following his acquittal in connection with Payne’s passing.

On March 7th, during an interview with Reuters, a businessman named Nores from Argentina shared insights into his close relationship with Payne and discussed the unfortunate series of events that culminated in Payne’s demise.

Over the final six months of his life, we spent every single day together, including our respective partners. Nores revealed this, also discussing Liam Payne’s struggles with substance abuse. He expressed, “As a friend, you witness them battling addiction, and you offer help where you can, but ultimately, it’s their choice in the end.

As a lifestyle connoisseur looking back on the events of October 16, 2024, I regretfully report an unfortunate incident involving Liam Payne. Tragically, he met his end after a fall from a balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

An initial examination found that his death was caused by numerous traumas and both internal and external bleeding. Later, a test showed traces of alcohol, cocaine, and prescription antidepressants within his body.

After Roger Nores, the hotel manager, Gilda Martin, and Esteban Grassi, the receptionist, passed away, they faced charges of manslaughter due to alleged negligence in not providing aid to Payne, who was known to struggle with various addictions.

Apart from two other staff members, Ezequiel Pereyra and Braian Paiz, stand accused of providing illegal substances to the musician. Initially, charges against Nores, Martin, and Grassi were dismissed in February, but Pereyra and Paiz continue to be detained, waiting for their trial to commence.

Nores admitted that after the unexpected passing of singer Payne, many of his fans have expressed criticism while seeking clarity. He explained that it’s challenging for these fans to deal with losing someone they were accustomed to hearing throughout their childhood, and they are attempting to uncover the reason behind this tragic event.

Back in January, I found myself compelled to take a stand against defamation. Specifically, I initiated a legal battle directed at Geoff Payne, father of my beloved idol, Payne senior. The root of this dispute stems from what I believe are false and damaging statements made by him to Argentinian authorities.

In the spirit of supporting the family of my inspiration, I’ve vowed that any financial gains derived from this lawsuit will be dedicated to his precious son, Bear.

In a statement, Nores explained that Geoff was attempting to deal with his son’s passing as well as he possibly could. He noted that Geoff seemed distraught and it appeared he wasn’t entirely clear in his words.

On March 3rd, Liam’s relatives requested privacy from the BBC, explaining that they were still deeply mourning their loss. They referred to his demise as an unbearably sorrowful incident and stated that it was a period of profound grief and agony for everyone who had known and cherished him.
