Sadie Sink recently talked about her feelings during the last day of shooting Stranger Things‘ final episode, which is almost 8 years since she started acting in this popular Netflix series. In a chat, she shared that the last day on set was incredibly emotional for her and the entire cast.
She informed The Hollywood Reporter that she hasn’t watched it yet, but she’s eagerly waiting. Since it promises to be incredibly emotional, she’s prepared to weep alongside everyone else who watches it.
She mentioned that she cried so profusely during the shooting that her eyes swelled significantly. “I’ve never had them look like this before, and there are a few rather awkward pictures of me with these enormously puffed-up eyes.
Apart from her, many others who worked on the series shared the heavy feelings that came with bidding farewell. Her fellow cast members have expressed similar sentiments.
Previously, David Harbour (the actor portraying Jim Hopper) mentioned that the last script reading session was particularly moving. He pointed out the remarkable growth he’s observed in the younger cast members throughout their journey together.
Sink shared that she managed to keep some emotional mementos from her character Max Mayfield’s closet. Among these keepsakes are Max’s Walkman and shoes, while the team generously gave her Max’s skateboard, a gift she found particularly significant.
The hit series Stranger Things is set to end with its fifth season, comprising eight episodes that wrap up the storyline. Although specific plot points are still under wraps, it’s been confirmed that the story unfolds in autumn 1987, over a year following the events depicted in Season 4.
