Tupac Shakur’s Murder Suspect Gives His First Interview From Prison; Says ‘They Don’t Have Nothing…’

Duane “Keffe D” Davis, who stands accused of murdering Tupac Shakur, claims his innocence. This event dates back to 1996.

Speaking through an interview with ABC News while incarcerated at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, Davis declared his innocence, asserting that no proof exists to convict him.

Duane Davis stated, “They possess absolutely nothing, and they are well aware of this fact. Moreover, they seem incapable of identifying where I am. They lack a gun, a vehicle, any Keffe D, or anything at all.

He further went on to say that he has not killed “nobody. Never did, never killed nobody.”

According to ABC News, Davis claimed he was actually in Los Angeles at the time when Tupac Shakur was killed in Las Vegas. The report additionally noted that the suspect suggested he had witnesses ready to verify his alibi.

According to PEOPLE’s report, Las Vegas investigators developed their case against Davis after they read a 2019 self-penned memoir that appeared to contain Davis’ personal narrative about the homicide.

It’s worth noting that the memoir “Compton Street Legend” is credited as a co-authored work with Davis, however, Davis himself stated that he hasn’t had a chance to read it yet.

In further conversation with ABC, Davis stated that he had freely shared personal details, and the other author independently carried out an investigation and wrote the book on his own.

According to what the prosecutors claim, Davis was the head of a Crips gang in Compton, California, and was known as the one giving orders that fateful night when Tupac Shakur died.

After his apprehension in connection to Tupac Shakur’s case, Duane “Keffe D” Davis faced one charge of murder with an added gang-related enhancement. This led the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to convene a press conference announcing their reexamination of the artist’s case.
