LEGO unveiled numerous fresh sets slated for April, such as a captivating replica of the Beauty and the Beast Castle, featuring beloved characters in ten distinct minifigures and constructible figures. This extensive set boasts a total of 2,916 pieces. Known as LEGO Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Castle (set number 43263), this latest creation is part of an impressive wave of projects by LEGO, which also includes the upcoming launch of official Bluey sets.
The castle resembles the animated adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast” from 1991, and I must admit, it has more minifigures than Emma Watson’s character Hermione Granger requires in her world. This LEGO creation boasts four floors, each showcasing various scenes from the film. Notable areas include the ballroom where “Tale as Old as Time” was danced, and the intriguing west wing that houses the enchanted rose.
The collection abounds with elaborate details, such as the Beast’s paw prints on a portrait depicting himself as a prince (similar to what is shown in the movie). Furthermore, in the dining room, the tablecloth spins to bring fresh dishes to Belle – much like it does during the “Be Our Guest” musical performance.
From the collection of 11 characters, five are represented as minifigures – Belle, the Beast, Gaston, LeFou, and Maurice. The remaining six characters are designed to be built: Lumière, Fifi, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip, and Sultan (the dog).
LEGO enthusiasts with an Insider account can get a head start on purchasing the new set from April 1 to April 3, before it becomes available to the general public on April 4.
