Shogun Actor Cosmo Jarvis Gets Roped in For Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey Joining Tom Holland, Matt Damon And More

British singer-songwriter Cosmo Jarvis, known for his role as Shogun in a well-received series, has been announced as part of the cast for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, titled The Odyssey. This news broke during filming in Morocco. Previously, Jarvis portrayed Anjin-San on screen and will now be working with the crew, who plan to travel to Sicily next for further shooting.

In addition to directing the film, Christopher Nolan will also serve as a producer, working alongside Emma Thomas. The plot for this forthcoming production revolves around Greek mythology, depicting the homecoming of Odysseus following the Trojan War.

The movie will highlight different historical aspects and the perils encountered by the King of Ithica on his return voyage.

Additionally, it appears that Nolan intends to helm the film utilizing cutting-edge IMAX technology.

Among the actors portraying significant roles in this movie are Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Benny Safdie, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Himesh Patel, Elliott Page, Bill Irwin, Samantha Morton, Jesse Garcia, Will Yun Lee, and Corey Hawkins.

Universal Studios has revealed that Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie, titled “The Odyssey,” will be globally acclaimed. This motion picture was unveiled last year with a social media post stating, “Christopher Nolan’s next production is an epic action film based on mythology, filmed worldwide using cutting-edge IMAX camera technology.

The movie will make its debut on IMAX screens for the very first time, presenting Homer’s epic tale, and it is set to hit theaters nationwide on July 17, 2026.

Speaking of Jarvis, his acting in Shogun received tremendous praise from both critics and viewers. Additionally, he is set to star alongside Robert De Niro in the gangster film titled The Alto Knights.
