Nate ponders why this information wasn’t discovered by their private investigator.

Later, Lily’s disclosure that she had requested a favor from Victor causes Nate to become frustrated. This angers him because he felt that Lily was overstepping his personal limits when helping Victor. He had asked her to honor his boundaries.
