Diane Warren Sportingly Embraces Her 16th Oscar Loss for Best Original Song; ‘I’m Consistent As F—’

16 times Diane Warren missed out on winning the Best Original Song Oscar, but this setback didn’t dampen her spirit. Although she had a disheartening experience at the 97th Academy Awards on March 2nd, she graced the Vanity Fair afterparty in Beverly Hills to unwind and enjoy herself.

At the afterparty’s red carpet event, Warren spoke with Variety about her feelings following the 16th Oscar omission. With a witty remark, she said, “I’m as consistent as can be.” In a playful manner, she referred to herself as the “persevering spirit” of the Academy Awards and vowed that she would return again.

She said it with the tone of Arnold Schwarzenegger, “I’ll be back.” She joked about returning to work soon and promised to keep pushing forward with her music.

At the Chanel and Charles Finch pre-Oscars dinner, Variety reported that the singer found it strange not to perform at the Academy Awards, but she was pleased to be in attendance.

Additionally, she expressed her belief that the song would endure even if it wasn’t played at the Oscars. While she was eager to see the nominees perform, she felt completely satisfied afterwards, as the show turned out to be excellent.
