Hulu has unveiled its lineup for the upcoming TV series, “The Testaments,” a continuation of “The Handmaid’s Tale.” The talented actress, Lucy Halliday, will be portraying the significant character, Daisy, in this new production.
According to Margaret Atwood’s 2019 book “The Testaments”, the story unfolds 15 years after the events in “The Handmaid’s Tale”. It focuses on three characters: Aunt Lydia (portrayed by Ann Dowd), Agnes (played by Chase Infiniti), and Daisy, a Canadian teenager who discovers her connection to Gilead. The series explores their unique experiences and positions within the society of Gilead.
once again taking charge, Bruce Miller, renowned for crafting ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’, is set to serve as the showrunner for ‘The Testaments’. Alongside him in this venture will be Warren Littlefiend, also serving as an executive producer. MGM Television is responsible for the production of this project.
In the concluding part of “The Handmaid’s Tale,” June re-enters the fight against Gilead, joined by Luke and Moira in their resistance efforts. Simultaneously, Serena tries to restructure Gilead, while Commander Lawrence and Aunt Lydia grapple with the repercussions of their actions. Nick encounters fresh challenges.
Lucy Halliday, famed for portraying Lois in the movie “Blue Jean,” has recently wrapped up filming for the project titled “California Schemin'” alongside James McAvoy. She’s garnered acclaim for her acting skills, earning a Scottish BAFTA Award in the Best Lead Actress category.
