How to Find a Gillopod in MH Wilds

Unlike its smaller cousin, the Pillopod, this stationary critter prefers to cling to walls and branches rather than scuttle around like the rest. Its unique feature is a flat, rectangular body adorned with distinct blue markings on top, which sets it apart from the more common pink Pillopods. However, spotting a Gillopod can be tricky due to its exceptional camouflage and immobility, making it a challenge for those with keen eyes.

Make sure you’ve got a Capture Net in your supplies, as it’s crucial for trapping immobile creatures such as the Gillopod.

The Gillopod can be found amidst the ruins of Wyveria, nestled between regions 7 and 10. To locate it, make your way to the Wyvern Milk puddle close to Area 8, then scrutinize the grand walls. Keep an eye out for a substantial, flat, grey creature with blue patterns – that’s the Gillopod. Be vigilant as it has the ability to camouflage itself perfectly within its surroundings.
