What Does Affinity Mean in Monster Hunter Wilds?

In Monster Hunter Wilds, when I refer to the “affinity stat” for weapons, I’m talking about the probability of landing a critical hit. A critical hit is a powerful physical attack that deals more damage compared to a regular hit.

As a dedicated player, I’m always thrilled when I land a critical hit because it not only boosts my damage output by an impressive 25% but also reduces the sharpness of my weapons less than regular hits do.
