Previously established producer of The Wendy Williams Show, Suzanne Bass, recently disclosed details about the contentious guardianship that host Wendy Williams has been striving to dissolve. In a video posted on Instagram on Thursday, February 27, she talked about her recent conversation with her long-time associate.
In the video, she mentioned that people have been wondering for a long time whether she had contacted Wendy. She then disclosed that they’ve spoken on the phone again after a while, with Wendy unexpectedly reaching out to her last week.
The phone call came from Wendy, causing me to weep, and she too shed tears. Bass also disclosed that Williams’ voice sounded healthier than it had in quite some time. In 2022, the public figure assumed a guardianship for her finances as she navigated various medical challenges.
In February 2024, it was revealed that Williams had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia. Due to her serious health situation, Williams granted guardianship, though concerns were raised within her close friends at the time as they feared she may have surrendered too much power to the appointed authority.
It turned out to be similar to the Britney Spears conservatorship situation as they had apprehensions. Indeed, it unfolded in a comparable manner, placing Williams in a struggle for her personal liberty. Bass regularly updates her followers on the ongoing legal fight, sharing new insights daily.

Due to persistent health problems related to Graves’ disease and her inability to maintain a regular schedule for her talk show, the network decided to indefinitely halt its broadcast back in February 2022. Ever since, her life seems to have taken an unexpected turn.
Apart from being diagnosed with several new health conditions, she found herself in a state of incapacitation, both physically and financially. This was due to Wells Fargo freezing her accounts and the court mandating that she assume guardianship, which left her feeling exploited.
