Back in October 2022, news broke out that ‘Vision Quest‘ was being worked on, with Jac Schaeffer serving as the lead writer and executive producer. Later, by May 2023, Eileen Shim was added to the team as a contributing writer for the series.
Previously, Jac Schaeffer primarily worked on ‘Agatha All Along.’ Now, the project ‘Vision Quest’ is being overseen by Terry Matalas. This transition signifies that Matalas is now at the helm, making it Marvel’s first new live-action TV series in nearly two years. This change indicates a shift in Marvel’s approach to television production on Disney+.
Initially, Marvel operated under a film-based approach, where directors and creative heads held significant control. However, from the year 2022 onwards, Marvel has transitioned towards a more conventional television production model. This new approach involves extended development periods and writer-producers serving as primary decision-makers or showrunners.
Lately, the series underwent significant changes. Recently, Paul Bettany hinted at his character’s connection to the show by stating that he intends to study ‘Agatha All Along’ in preparation for portraying White Vision.
Additionally, it was confirmed a few months back that James Spader would reprise his role as Ultron. However, the character Todd Stashwick will play has yet to be revealed.
The upcoming series is expected to delve deeper into White Vision’s storyline, following the conclusion of ‘WandaVision.’ Previous speculation hinted at the appearance of Ultron in human form, and recently published Marvel Studios artwork by Mushk Rizvi seems to suggest a female version of Ultron. For more details, take a look below:
It’s uncertain if the Ultron we see now has taken over the iconic vibranium form or if another software controls it. Some enthusiasts suggest that the concept art might depict Jocasta instead.
Jocasta, initially designed as Ultron’s robotic spouse with the mind of the Wasp, broke free from her intended purpose and became a hero. Rather than serving Ultron, she chose to stand alongside the Avengers.
Jocasta, despite her feelings of being unwelcomed, stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the valiant few. More than once, she gave up her own life, most notably when trying to halt the destructive rampage of Ultron. Tragically, she was rebuilt by evil forces and underwent significant transformations over time.
She found her connection with Machine Man intricate, and she was part of groups such as the Mavericks, Mighty Avengers, and Avengers Academy, serving as an educator in these teams.
Lately, Tony Stark brought her on board as a specialist in robot morality. In the midst of a robot uprising, she found herself under Arno Stark’s control, but was liberated by Machine Man, ultimately assisting in the defeat of Arno.
