As adventurers traverse the volcanic terrain of Galawain’s Tusks, they will stumble upon a Forgotten Village, which initiates the Quest of the Lost in Avowed. This heartrending side quest offers players a glimpse into Marius’ past and introduces them to one of his tormented companions. The storyline culminates in a showdown with Razvan, a malevolent sorcerer who inflicts Marius’ suffering upon him.

How to Start the Chorus of the Lost Quest in Avowed

Marius must be in your party to begin Chorus of the Lost quest and talk to Iancu.

In the northeastern part of Galawain’s Tusks lies the Lost Village, where adventurers can embark on the Chorus of the Lost quest in Avowed. Upon entering the village, players will encounter Iancu, an old friend of Marius, who despite being under the influence of Dreamthrall, still recalls Marius.

In our chat, Iancu discloses that the one causing deaths in the village, Razvan, is actually alive. To trace his location, players should obtain this information from Iancu and then journey to his dwelling. Upon reaching his hut, interact with items on the table to advance the mission. Inside Razvan’s residence, you’ll find a lootable chest containing useful crafting resources.

Reaching the Domain of Razvan

Leaving Razvan’s Cabin, proceed along the trail to the left where you’ll come across a stone bridge. This is where you’ll encounter a tough enemy known as Mizuravul, a Blight Boss. Overcoming him might be challenging if your equipment isn’t of high quality.

After your boss has retreated, approach the large stone door where Marius will utter magical incantations. Upon hearing his spell, the door emits a soft glow and opens up, allowing you access to the lava-filled passages that lead to Razvan’s realm.

As an avid explorer, continue navigating the lava-filled cavern until you scramble over some rocks to find a hidden entrance leading into the next section. Straight ahead lies a pair of doors; pushing through them will bring you face-to-face with Razvan. Don’t forget to explore the room to your left before engaging the boss, where you can pick up an exclusive mace weapon as a reward!

Should You Kill or Spare Razvan?

Following a conversation with Razvan, it becomes clear that he holds no remorse for his past deeds and remains steadfast in his convictions. Thus, a critical decision arises: either to take Razvan’s life or let him live. It is crucial to note that the path you choose here will have the most significant impact on Marius.

Should you choose to confront Razvan with lethal intent, it sets the stage for a boss battle against him. Overcoming Razvan is rather straightforward given his limited health pool and predictable attacks that can be easily dodged. He primarily employs summoning phantoms as a means of attack. Upon Razvan’s demise, Marius won’t hide his disapproval and will voice his discontentment.

As a gamer, when I chose the noble path and decided not to strike down Razvan, I could see Marius’s contentment wash over him. He found peace in my choice.

Regardless of your choice, make your way out of Razvan’s realm and return to Iancu. Share with him what transpired upon your return. Once you’ve discussed it all, the “Chorus of the Lost” quest in Avowed will be considered complete.
