Actor Matthew Lillard is set to join the lineup for Daredevil: Reborn. He’s slated to make an appearance in season 2 of the Marvel series, where he will act alongside Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and other esteemed cast members.
The series continues from the initial group of episodes that debuted on Netflix in 2015. Details about Lillard’s character are still under wraps, but the creators have hinted at a major transformation before the premiere on March 4.
In the latest installment of the show, viewers can expect Matt Murdock, a lawyer who is blind, persisting with his pursuit of justice via his law office. Meanwhile, Wilson Fisk, a notorious mob boss, endeavors to advance his political aspirations in New York City. As their trajectories intersect and become inextricably linked, tension ensues.
Initially planned for release in 2023, the new season faced numerous hurdles during production, causing Marvel to push back its launch date. Now, they’ve set a date for when the upcoming episodes will be available for fans to enjoy.
In my perspective, the gist of the initial series revolves around the character Matt Murdock. Born blind, he navigates life’s hurdles and takes on criminal elements, not just in his role as a lawyer, but also as the vigilante known as Daredevil.
In the preview for Daredevil: Born Again, the creators subtly indicated that the White Tiger might make an appearance.
Alongside Cox, D’Onofrio, and Lillard, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Karen Page, Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, and Jon Bernthal will also be part of the team.
For Season 1, we’ll also have Margarita Levieva, Ayelet Zurer, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Wilson Bethel, and Tony Dalton joining the cast.
The new episodes of Daredevil: Born Again will be available to stream on Disney+.
