Following the broadcast of news reports confirming the deaths of Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa, numerous individuals displayed their shock across different social media outlets. In the latest developments, an urgent 911 call from a maintenance staff member has emerged as part of the ongoing investigation.
The audio acquired by TMZ disclosed that an unnamed caretaker requested law enforcement to visit the home of the couple, located in New Mexico.
The individual on the emergency line stated that they found “either one or two individuals who had passed away inside a house,” and pleaded for immediate assistance by saying “Could you dispatch someone quickly please.” As the operator momentarily held back to contact the paramedics, the person seemed to be weeping, repeatedly uttering “Oh dear.
Based on the available records, it appeared that the caller didn’t seem to be acquainted with the duo, since he couldn’t provide additional private details about the people he claimed to have encountered.
During the phone call, the caretaker said, “It seems like there are two individuals, one male and one female, but I’m not certain, sir. Could you please dispatch someone here immediately?” As reported by the media outlet, the caller was unable to determine if they were conscious or breathing because he wasn’t present inside the house.
According to the 911 call, the employee stated that the house was both shut (closed) and secured (locked), preventing him from entering. However, he observed from the window that she appeared to be lying on the floor. The employee reportedly had no sense of her being awake or active, and didn’t notice any indications of movement.

For the unversed, Hackman was 95 and his wife, Arakawa was 63 at the time of their deaths.
