In Monster Hunter Wilds, one of the minerals that can be challenging to find is the elusive Novacrystal. This mineral doesn’t show up early in the game and even when it does appear, it’s quite uncommon. Consequently, many players might not be aware of how they can collect Novacrystal within the game.

This guide aims to help us make a difference. Similar to other minerals within the game, Lightcrystal is essential for crafting and improving weapons and armor. Therefore, it’s crucial not to underestimate its value since it plays a significant role in top-tier weapon smithery across Monster Hunter Wilds.

Obtaining Novacrystal in Monster Hunter Wilds

Just as Iron Ore and other minerals can be extracted, so too does Novacrystal employ the common practice of Mining. Mining Outcrops scattered across any region can be approached and interacted with to dig up various minerals at random. You’ll find these outcrops abundant in all regions, though they won’t appear on your map as marked legends. Instead, you’ll consistently find them in the same general areas each time you play.

To date, it appears that only two areas – the vibrant and lush Scarlet Forest and the ancient ruins of Wyveria – have a considerable rate of Novacrystal spawning. Despite reaching the ideal rank, the frequency at which this mineral appears is disappointingly low. It’s exceptionally scarce, making it difficult for players to obtain them effortlessly. Fortunately, you won’t need a large number of these minerals during gameplay, unless you’ve advanced significantly first. A useful strategy is to accumulate this mineral by systematically clearing out every outcrop, teleporting to different zones, and then returning to mine the reappearing minerals from the freshly respawned outcrops.
