Monster Hunter Rise is almost here! It’s set to drop on PlayStation 5 tomorrow, specifically on February 28th. Die-hard series enthusiasts will probably be eager to dive in as soon as the servers are up and running. Capcom recognizes this anticipation and has announced the exact global release times to ensure hunters can start their quests right away. Just a heads-up: If you receive your copy early, those who own the physical version need to download a 15GB update before they can begin playing.

In most cases, Monster Hunter Wilds is expected to go live on game consoles at midnight on Friday, the 28th of February. However, due to different timezones, some fortunate players can start playing earlier, even as late as tonight, Thursday, the 27th of February. Depending on your self-discipline, you might even get a good night’s sleep after a bit of gameplay.

It’s interesting to note that it’s not residents in Oceania who are getting early access, as one might expect; rather, it’s the West Coast inhabitants of North America who get a head start this time.
